Hi everybody, we regret to inform you that our application for the Auckland Council Regional Sport and Recreation Grants Programme was unsuccessful.
Auckland Council informed us that with a limited funding pool, the applications that most strongly aligned with the purpose of the fund were prioritized.
To build a sustainable foundation for an active, and vibrant Auckland Regional Handball the aim is to develop Youth Handball further. Auckland Handball is aiming at promoting team sports to give back to the community by encouraging and inspiring children and youth to be active and learn how to collaborate and develop in a team environment.
We at Auckland Handball don’t see this as a setback but more as a first step towards the right direction. We will not give up to continue applying for sports funds to grow our community and establish Handball in Auckland.
