HANDBALL
Auckland Region Handball was incorporated in 2011. Starting off as a social league, over the years we have developed our member's skills to a level where we are representing Auckland in national competitions as well as representing Handball NZ in international competitions, such as Oceania Championship in Tahiti (2011), New Caledonia (2008) and Australia (between 2013 and 2018).
We are a diverse group and meet up once a week for social games (refer to our handball training schedule if you are interested). Our female and male beginners and high performance teams play national tournaments, in Auckland, Wellington, Christchurch, amongst others
Following New Zealand’s and Auckland’s growing population our club is growing rapidly. We are aiming to make handball in New Zealand more sustainable by creating awareness and introducing handball into schools.
