As part of the Auckland Handball Youth Program, we are inviting all participating schools in Auckland to come together to play a fun Handball tournament at the Westlake Girls High School Sporting Facilities.
The aim of this Auckland Handball Youth Festival is primarily to provide game experience to the new players in a friendly environment. While competition is inherent to the sport, we want to prioritize the participation and exposure to the game.
To showcase how professional and competitive Handball can look like we will also host an exhibition game with the adult players from Auckland Handball during the tournament.

Never heard about Handball? What is Handball?
- It is a Male & Female Team Sport - The aim is to throw the ball into the opponent's goal - Players work together, passing & dribbling the ball up the court in an attempt to score a goal - It is a fast-flowing & fun game - The sport requires strength, speed, and agility and has been compared to being a cross between football and basketball - Not unusual for more than 20 goals per side to be scored in a game
At the end of the event, every player participating in the tournament will receive a small thank you surprise from the Auckland Handball committee.
